To protect the public and Lake County staff while maintaining required government operations, Lake County Government offices will be transitioning to provide only essential functions over the next few days. Beginning Thursday, March 19, public access to the County Administration building located at 18 N. County Street in Waukegan will be closed except for limited operations within the 19th Judicial Circuit Court.

The Lake County Libertyville campus buildings, including the Central Permit Facility, the Division of Transportation, and Public Works will continue to limit in-person interactions between staff and the public while maintaining the full range of customer services that are still provided. Drop boxes, drop off locations and e-services will be made available at each facility to accommodate services which include permitting, bill payment, water sample drop-offs, and more.

Lake County Public Safety and Public Utilities will continue operations as normal.
