Handicap parking permits

Persons with short-term physical challenges may apply for a 90-day, temporary handicapped parking placard through the township. Applicants must bring a letter from a doctor explaining the need for the placard, or a doctor must certify the form. Forms are available at the Shields Township Office. Phone 847-234-0802 for information.

Permits for longer than 90 days and applications for Persons with Disabilities License Plates are available only from the Illinois Secretary of State. Applications are available at the Township Office.
