THE TOWN BOARD OF SHIELDS TOWNSHIP held its Public Hearing on the Shields Township FY 2026 Budget and Appropriation Ordinance on Thursday April 17th, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
 
I. Call to Order & Roll Call: Supervisor Urso called the meeting to order at 5:03 pm. Clerk Grum called the roll; present were: Trustees Weil and Andersen, and Supervisor Urso; absent were: Trustees Garrity and Machnicki. Also in attendance was Administrator Carl Kitzerow, Deputy Clerk Lisette Rothing, Clerk Grum, and Councilman Mark Kimzey.
 
II. Pledge of Allegiance: Supervisor Urso opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
IV. Hearing Regarding the Shields Township Tentative Budget & Appropriation Ordinance for the Fiscal Year Beginning March 1, 2025 and Ending February 28, 2026: Supervisor Urso explains that the Budget and Appropriation Ordinance was prepared in tentative format and has been available to public inspection since March 17th. Supervisor Urso invites anyone in the audience who wishes to address the Township Board in regards to the amended Budget and Appropriation Ordinance to do so. No one comes forward, so the Public Hearing is closed by Supervisor Urso.
 
V. Adjournment: Supervisor Urso moved to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Weil motioned to adjourn and Trustee Andersen seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 5:05 pm.
