Notice is hereby given that a Community Services Committee Meeting has been scheduled for   
Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., at the Shields Township Offices, 960 W. Muir Avenue, Lake Bluff, IL 60044, for the purpose of considering the following agenda:

1. Call to Order and Roll Call
2. Approval of Community Services Committee Meeting Minutes of May 9, 2023
3. Public Comment – Three (3) Minutes per Speaker
4. Old Business   

1. Approval of Report and Recommendations on Phoenix Rising Foundation
2. Approval of Recommendations for Technology to Videotape Meetings

THE COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING OF SHIELDS TOWNSHIP meeting in person on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 4:30 pm.

ABSENT

1. Call to order & Roll call – Deputy Clerk Rothing called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm and performed roll call.
2. Approval of July 18, 2023, Minutes – Committee Chair Blahunka requested a motion to approve the July 18th meeting minutes. It was motioned by Committee person Carl Evans and seconded by Committee Person Meyers. There was no discussion. The Committee unanimously approved the minutes of the July 18th meeting.
3. Public Comment – Three (3) Minutes per speaker – There was no Public Comment.
4. Old Business

1. Approval of Report and Recommendations on Phoenix Rising Foundation

Committee Chair Blahunka requested a motion to approve the report. It was motioned by Committee Person Schnobrich and seconded by Committee Person Evans. There was no additional discussion. The Committee unanimously approved the report.

1. Approval of Recommendations for Technology to Videotape Meetings

Committee Chair Blahunka requested a motion to approve the recommendations. It was motioned by Committee Person Evans and seconded by Committee Person Brown. Discussions re-enforced the need for microphones. The Committee unanimously approved the minutes the report.
 

1. New Business

Committee person Meyers provided the group updates for the social services available throughout Shields Township. She had been working on the content for a couple of months with Committee person Brown. The information was not official and was provided to the Township staff to update the website.
