– Shields Township Community Services Committee Special Meeting of Community Services Committee September 13, 2022 STATE OF ILLINOIS, )Lake County, ) SS.Town of Shields ) THE COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING OF SHIELDS TOWNSHIP held their first meeting in person on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 4:15pm. PRESENT Lisette Rothing Deputy Clerk Jeff Urso Supervisor Kathy Blahunka Committee Chair Janice Schnobrich Committee Person Vickie Brown Committee Person Carl Evans Committee Person Heather Meyer Committee Person Susan Fowler Committee Person I. Meeting called to order & Roll call - Clerk Rothing called the meeting to order at 4:15pm. II. Approval of August 2022 minutes – Motion to move minutes toward the end of meeting. All were in favor. III. Old Business – Discussion and Comments on EA and GA Criteria, Standards, Parameters, Policy and Service agreements. IV. New Business – Action Items for next meeting. • A discussion about the Draft Report had taken a turn when some of the committee members recommended an IGA with Waukegan Township to help supplement information and services to all of Shields Township. Everyone in the meeting did not agree with this idea. A lot of business,
old and new, was not covered. There was a lot of back-and-forth debate therefore, other action items and meeting criteria were not discussed. In essence nothing got resolved. V. Meeting Adjourned – 5:25pm
