Adopt Tax Levy Ordinance, motion to approve Trustee Urso,second Trustee Andersen, passed on a roll call vote 5-0 In the amount of $1,319,000.00.

 Assessor Helton provided report via email: On December 9, 2021, the Lake County Supervisor ofAssessments issued a list of tentative 2022 township multipliers. The Shields Township tentative factor is 0.9997.As you are aware, the Township Accessors are required by law to develop assessments at 33.33% f a properties FairMarket Value as of January 1 of the assessment year. Based upon a three (3) year weighted average of qualifiedsales in each township, the goal is to achieve a Township Factor of 1.000. As a point of reference, the average 2022Tentative Factor for the other Lake County Townships was 1.0503. Therefore, our tentative 2022 factor is goodnews for all of our Shields Township residents.As a year-end recap, I want to thank my staff, Kelly Ugaste, Andrea Wagner, and Mark Romer, for their continueddedication to develop fair and equitable assessments for Shields Township properties and always showing ourresidents the respect they deserve when they contact our office.It is a please to be associated with each of them and we are all looking forward to 2022.
